The Member Magic system has an optional smart technology known as a ClubKey, which is used in conjunction with the database to manage member spending at the club and control access to facilities.

The ClubKey is a small, unique, robust, battery-backed memory and identification device that fits on a member's key ring.

The member touches it onto a matching reader device fitted in the clubhouse or anywhere else in the club property to gain access or to pay for any determined service. It can be used for credit or against a club-imposed levy or a "wallet" the member has paid in advance.

Unlike "swipe" cards and "smart" cards, the ClubKey is guaranteed for 10 years or a million Read/Write cycles.

The ClubKey will operate in the harshest environment - including douses of seawater.

The controlling Member Magic software can be used without the ClubKey element. However the full benefit of the database is readily realised in conjunction with the ClubKey. It can even be adapted to operate with a range of ID devices and "smart" technologies. And we, in turn, adapt to new technologies and changes in the market.
